Knee-How!  That is hello in Chinese, phonetically spelled:)) It's about all I could say, and I butchered 'Thank you' where they laughed when I tried.  I spent 6 days in the heart of China where the Chinese shop for Chinese factories and I didn't see an American for those 6 days! I went alone...yes alone.  What was I thinking you ask? The night before I started getting anxiety wondering, "What the hell WAS I was thinking?"  I'm the girl who loses her phone every other day, forgets what I planned 2 days prior and blindly, yet eagerly, walks into any adventure...I started thinking I would lose my money or phone, get lost, miss my connection, or worse end up in a Chinese prison doing something like crossing my legs the wrong way.  Well, yes, I missed my connection in Hong Kong, lost my eyeglasses in the airport then ran over my second pair with my roller suitcase not long after. It all turned around upon landing in Guangzhou and meeting my product consultant, Simon. We dove right in, taking the subway to different supply houses looking for rivets, leathers, and ideas for new Armorizers. I custom designed the new HAIR and STYLIST pieces you see above and incorporated them into Armorizers and bracelets. I designed the slider patch that holds the various rivets to decorate your wristbands. I found a beautiful leather for the Gauntlet. I worked with the factory to find the perfect leather mixed with a nice backing that would keep the Cuff and WrapBand thin, light and flexible.  If you haven't tried one yet, please do!  You will forget you have it on after the day is over.
Every day we shopped for 7hrs, with Simon occasionally grabbing my phone that I left on a counter in a store:) At the end of the day, my feet and legs were aching. I was filthy dirty from walking in alleys, riding the crammed subway, in and out of underground supply houses, and sweaty from having to be covered up completely on 75 degree days. (They did not expose skin)  I would collapse in my hotel with a McDonalds burger and Coke and went through my findings making notes and prepping for the next day.  (Below is a photo from my hotel window.) So, are you asking why I would go to China and eat McDonalds every day??  I couldn't find General Tso's Chicken or Sweet and Sour Pork and no one spoke English that could tell me what the mess of food was in the photo. I braved it one night and was disappointed so I went the safe route:)
For those of you questioning why I had to go to China to make my products, I know, I know.  I tried making them in America but the labor cost was so high you would have been paying $50 for the wristband. You will be happy to know that 85% of the wristband is USA constructed in my Indiana Salon Armor studio, by me:)))
